중2 미래엔(최연희) 3과 My Travel, My Way

 

My Special Travel Journal 

Hi, I am Lucy Hunter, and I live in London. 

Last week, my family went on a vacation for three days. 

During our trip, I made simple drawings in my journal. 

That was a great way to capture all the special moments. 

 

안녕, 나는 Lucy Hunter이고, 런던에 살고 있어. 지난주, 우리 가족은 3일 동안 휴가를 갔어. 여행 중에, 나는 내 일기에 간단한 그림을 그렸어. 그것은 모든 특별한 순간을 포착할 수 있는 아주 좋은 방법이었어.

 

August 5 

At last, we set foot at Stonehenge, one of the most mysterious places on Earth. 

After a two-hour drive from our home in London, we finally got to Stonehenge. 

It was just amazing to see the ring of huge stones. 

How did those huge stones get there thousands of years ago? 

What were they for? 

I guess Stonehenge will remain a mystery for a long time.

A few colors will be enough. 

 

8월 5일 

드디어, 우리는 지구상에서 가장 불가사의한 장소들 중 하나인 스톤헨지에 발을 들여놨어. 런던에 있는 우리 집에서 차로 두 시간을 달린 후에, 마침내 스톤헨지에 도착했어. 원형으로 둘러서 있는 거대한 돌들을 보는 것은 정말 놀라웠어. 어떻게 저 거대한 돌들이 수천 년 전에 그곳에 도달했을까? 그것들은 무엇을 위한 것이었을까? 나는 스톤헨지가 오랫동안 불가사의로 남아 있을 거라고 생각해.

August 6 

In the morning, we walked around the Cotswolds. 

It started to rain in the afternoon, so we decided to stay indoors at our B and B. 

A B and B is a popular place to stay in England. 

It feels more like a home than a hotel. 

The owner invited us for afternoon tea today. 

The dining table was full of cookies, cake, bread, and cheese. 

While I was busy eating, Mom was admiring the beautiful cups and plates. 

I ate too much, so I couldn't eat anything for dinner. 

(Lucy's Drawing Tips) It is O.K. to draw everyday objects like cups and plates in your journal. 

 

8월 6일 

아침에, 우리는 코츠월드 주변을 걸어 다녔어.  오후에 비가 오기 시작해서, 우리는 B&B 안에서 머물기로 했어. B&B는 영국에서 머물기에 인기 있는 곳이야. 호텔보다는 더 집처럼 느껴져. 주인은 오늘 오후 다과회에서 우리를 초대했어. 식탁에는 과자, 케이크, 빵, 그리고 치즈가 가득했어. 내가 정신없이 먹고 있는 동안, 엄마는 예쁜 컵과 접시에 감탄하고 있었어. 나는 너무 많이 먹어서, 저녁 식사 때는 아무것도 먹을 수가 없었어.

너의 일기에 컵이나 접시 같은 일상용품들을 그리는 것이 괜찮아. 

 

August 7 

Our last stop was Oxford. 

We first visited Christ Church College. 

It has become a world famous place to visit since it appeared in the Harry Potter movies. 

In the movies, Harry and everyone else eat dinner at the Hall of Christ Church. 

We also saw portraits of famous people who graduated from the college. 

When we were outside the building, I walked to the famous olive tree and touched it. 

"Because I touched this tree," I said, 

"I will get into Oxford University!" 

Then, my brother said to me with a smile, 

"I can't wait to see your portrait on the wall."

8월 7일

우리가 마지막으로 간 곳은 옥스퍼드였어. 우리는 먼저 크라이스트 처치 칼리지에 갔어. 그곳은 <해리 포터> 영화에 나온 이후로 방문해야 할 세계적인 명소가 되었어. 영화에서는, Harry와 다른 모든 사람이 크라이스트 처치 홀에서 저녁을 먹거든. 우리는 이 대학을 졸업한 유명한 사람들의 초상화도 봤어. 우리가 건물 밖으로 나왔을 때, 나는 유명한 올리브 나무로 걸어가서 그것을 만졌어. “내가 이 나무를 만졌기 때문에 나는 옥스퍼드 대학에 들어갈 거야!”라고 내가 말했어. 그러자, 오빠가 내게 웃으며 말했어. “네 초상화가 벽에 걸릴 일이 정말 기대되는걸.”
